Visionary and Pastor

God chooses messengers who affirms His will for the building of the Kingdom of God in the hearts and minds of the believer. Apostle Dr. Roger J. Hamlet Sr. is the image of such a messenger. Born the second child of five children to Elder Ray and Evangelist Christine Hamlet, Apostle Dr. Hamlet lived his youth primarily in Hartford, Ct. where he also was educated in the Hartford public schools system.  He has acquired various vocational certifications and experiences including mechanics, landscaping, and engineering.  The origin of his musicality is derived from a rich family legacy of vocalists, instrumentalists, composers, and producers.  Apostle Hamlet is a prolific, accomplished, and accredited organist/pianist, composer, and session vocalist.

Apostle Hamlet’s spiritual foundation began at Gospel Lighthouse Apostolic Church under the leadership of his grandfather the Late Bishop Ray Hamlet Sr.  In 1989, at the age of 16, he surrendered his life to God. In 1990, Apostle Hamlet enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, which he is a veteran of Desert Storm.  His ministry began, while stationed in Jacksonville, NC, at Shiloh Apostolic Church, where he served diligently as a faithful member and musician.  In 1993, God brought Apostle Hamlet into contact with Chief Apostle David L Dupree, Jr. of Solid Rock True Holiness Church of the Apostolic Faith Headquartered in Boston, MA.  During this time, doors of ministry and spiritual maturity began to open.  He continues to serve within Solid Rock T.H.C.A.F. as 3rd Administrative Assistant, Dean of Theology, and Music Director Emeritus.

The Holy Bible declares, "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favor of the Lord (Proverbs 18:22)."  While in service at Holy Hill Churches World Wide, Apostle Hamlet met the then Kajuana Fuller.  They joined together in holy matrimony in 1995.  They are the proud parents of Kiara, Roger Jr., and Kabryah.  The Hamlet family is a visible testament of the love of God regarding the sustenance, strength, and hope of the family unit.

In 2000, Apostle Hamlet was consecrated to the office of a Bishop and established Solid Rock's Perfected Praise T.H.C.A.F., where he is Senior Pastor. Apostle Hamlet propelled his spiritual servitude by being hallowed and blessed an Apostle of the church in 2005 by Chief Apostle Dupree.  In May of 2012, Apostle Hamlet completed the doctorate program at North Carolina College of Theology, earning a Doctor of Theology and Doctor of Divinity. Among his various merits, awards, and proclamations in ministry and societal aid, his Gold Status appointment of the U.S. President’s Volunteer Services Award represents his need to meet the spiritual and life needs of the believer. Through shepherding a multicultural and bilingual congregation, Apostle Hamlet has associated with The Salvation Army, Toys For Tots, Our Daily Bread, Connecticut Food Bank, Ministerio Y Asociacion de Pastores and various other non-profit charitable organizations. He believes the preached Word of God converts the soul and the demonstrated Word of God changes lives. Theologians, fellow leaders, and governmental officials refer to him as an educator of the truth of spirituality and the Word of God by explanation, presentation and exemplification.  Therefore, Apostle Hamlet endeavors to promote the elemental values of godliness through spiritual growth and godly recognition.
